Javier Buzón
Seville, Spain, 1958
Javier Buzón holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville. Since 1984 he has been teaching in Secondary Education as an Associate Professor of High School Drawing courses. Parallel to his teaching work he has developed a career as a draftsman and painter, dedicated mostly to landscape painting, in an uninterrupted trajectory of more than four decades.
Javier Buzón has participated in important group drawing and painting exhibitions, such as Sobre el cubismo (Caja San Fernando, Seville, 2005); El paisajismo en Alcalá de Guadaíra: de 1940 al siglo XXI (Museo de Alcalá de Guadaíra, 2005); Toreador (Chapelle Sainte-Anne, Arlés, France, 2011); Fin de fiesta à Séville (Mian, Séte, France, 2014) or Magistral Aguilera. Tribute to Miguel Pérez Aguilera (Cloister of Santo Domingo, Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, 2020). Likewise, and since 1986, he has held numerous solo exhibitions in galleries and public art centers, among which stand out: Tree Series (Palpura Gallery, Lisbon, Portugal, 2006); Landscapes.
